Thanks to the combined effort of citizen
activists from Olympia, Issaquah and Maple
Valley. Thank you Dave Tegeler, Lisa
Hedger, Woody and the rest who came out on a
windy and rainy Monday morning to stand up
for America. Thanks also to the
Olympia Tea Party Team who produced the

Special thanks to Gary Renolds and his
fellow patriots from Everett. Olympia
Tea Party was proud to stand with you in
Everett on the 18th and thanks you for your
support on the 21st.
When President Obama was in Seattle so were
we, but apparently we were not covered by
the TV media. So we set a goal to
learn from our experience and get TV
coverage at the next event in Bellevue.

Dear Fellow Patriots:
My friends Carl and Crystal Pike and
their group, the Pierce County Tea Party, sponsored
last Saturday's "Tea Party Take
Back" rally. Visit their web page
www.piercecountyteaparty.com Good
job Pierce County Tea Party and thank
you for a great event.
We had a great line-up of tea party
leaders who spoke and there was a
renewed spirit of dedication and unity in
the air. I was asked to speak on the
topic of unity and was included about 1/2
way through the program. It is an
honor to stand with so many truly dedicated
patriots.
I brought Pink Slips (post cards)
as promised. Be sure to get these in
the mail today or ASAP.
Yours truly - Ken
Morse, Olympia Tea Party organizer PS - the rumor that Carl
owes me money is utterly false and probably
came from an Obama supporter; it is just
another lie cooked up to try and divide us.
Keep Carl & Crystal in your prayers as they
left to visit an out of state family member.

Abridging his freedom of speech the WA Dept.

D.C. The Federal Government takes
taxpayer money, skims about 20% off for

For instance: the Dept. of Ecology is

AN ACTION PLAN from Dr. Bob
Basso (a.k.a. Thomas Paine)
Leaving our politics at home, we
gathering as concerned Americans
only and
learned from Bob what is going on
with the tea party across the
country. What is working &
what is not. Recent
independent poles indicate that 71%
of the country is with us! If
we stay true to our principles and
organize from the bottom up we
will turn our country around.
The
Rev. Wayne Perryman opened with
prayer & the flag salute.
He spoke
to us about about the importance of
standing shoulder to shoulder as
Americans of all ethnic backgrounds just as
our American heritage teaches
us. He spoke at length
detailing the history of how whites
working to ensure that "all men were
created equal" became a reality for
all Americans regardless of color.
He cited numerous examples from our
history: black colleges
started by whites, our civil war fought mostly by
whites to rid slavery from our land
(to name a few.)

Tea Party groups from across the State
gathered in support of Freedom of speech
Saturday evening. You came from as far away
as Spokane, Pasco, Ellensburg & Moses

Washington and of course numerous
citizens from Mt. Vernon were in the
crowd.
Olympia Tea Party (OTP) is proud to be

The Olympia Tea Party brought 200 Red

ladies.
The Numbers
We ran out of flowers, so using that
to help estimate, we had 600 supporters of free
speech outside. We definitely outnumbered
the anti-Beck / Anti-free speech group.
Add 700 people inside: we
numbered 1,300 while the anti-Glenn
protesters numbered only 400.
Many thanks to the Eastern
Washington Patriots - your presence
and support are deeply appreciated

Dear Ken Morse, My husband and I attended the Sept 12 surge. Our first
protest ever. Being apart of that event made me feel very proud to be an
American. It was the first time in months, that I felt I wasn't a victim and
was taking some of my power back. Thank-you for all that you are doing.
We are now actively writing letters and want to do more. If there is any way that we may help in other areas, please
let us know. Thank-you Linette and Frank
The
meeting was excellent. Although
the Obama Astroturf machine intended to flood this meeting with
their troops, the crowd and the speakers
were decidedly against the Health Care
takeover and in favor of alternatives
to HR 3200, probably 3:1 or 4:1.
Rep.
Baird offered a sincere apology, and
took some time really apologizing, for
his "brown shirt" comment. Thank
you Rep. Baird.
He
publicly recognized the presence of
Olympia Tea Party (OTP) citizens (see
past events) and our respectful manner
while visiting his office in Olympia
over the last two months. Way to
go OTP, taking the high road is
paying off.
Rep.
Baird recognizes that HR 3200 has
serious flaws, but is not yet convinced
it should be scrapped.
Excellent job everyone! Our
voice is beginning to be heard. We
are speaking with boldness and asking
tough, intelligent questions.
AUG. 31 (Mon.) 7:00 -
9:00 PM, Rep. Baird Town Hall Meeting
,
in
downtown Olympia, at the WA
Center for Performing Arts 512 Washington St
SE, Olympia 98501
First report: Understand you
were unable to get in. We did and it was
very interesting. The majority of the
questions came from pro health care reform.
Our folks made a few good points but were
clearly in the minority here. I felt a lot
of this was staged by the questions asked.
One person spoke as a former Canadian and
quoted a text she received from a friend in
Canada... praising their
system. We noticed a connection between her
and one of the gals I was sitting with who
is now a US citizen... moving down from
Canada because of health care. Her story was
similar to the gal with us only she changed
it a bit and made it pro reform. What I find
so disturbing is how one is treated if you
are not an "Obama fan" ... Name calling,
spitting, picking fights and just rudeness
and an unwillingness to compromise... Unfortunately we get the same
response from our elected officials. They
will wake up someday, I am afraid it will be
a little late. No matter how few we are we
must keep going to town halls and contacting
our representatives. They are very well
organized and it showed last night. If you
have time, go to meetings and bring a friend.
It is working. Keep up the fight! barb
The Olympia location was strategic in many ways favoring
ObamaCare supporters. It was simply "their night to shine" as one
person put it.
The Obama Astroturf machine was in FULL swing.
They had a band playing to squelch any dissenters and the WA Center was limited to 998 seats giving the
Astroturf machine the opportunity to get there first and "stack the deck"
which they did without question.
Though incredibly outnumbered your boldness did not
go unnoticed. Way to go!
AUG.
25 (Tues. PM) Rep SMITH TOWN HALL MEETING,
LAKEWOOD American Grass Roots
vs. Obama Astroturf.
Resounding success for
the Grass Roots; we soundly carried the
debate. Their people were virtually
speechless while we were prepared. Numerous
citizens and groups:
Tea Party Patriots, SEIU, C4L, AFSCME,
Planned Parenthood, a Socialist Party,
Pro-Life, various Obama groups & more.
An attempted altercation was diffused by
cool heads of tea party participant. Rep.
Smith was booed by the
Socialists in the group!
Poison-Partisan-Politics are not beneath
Adam Smith's supporters. Did Smith
know about this? You decide...
We were forced to leave
our signs outside in the grass (behind the
tables)
They got theirs in OK including a big blue
SEIU Banner.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBFIYdNlhME&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freqs.php&feature=player_embedded
The person holding the sign was probably a
LaRouche supporter and indeed the LaRouche
people handed me some literature at this
event. LaRouche supporters are NOT
typical of most Tea-Party people and have
pushed the "Obama is a Nazi" theme.
Remember - any signs
that were not pro-HR3200 were excluded from
the event (go to Past Events page and you
will see them piled on the grass).
This prohibiting of certain signs, by all
reports, was a gross violation of
freedom-of-speech and apparently is tacitly
endorsed and supported by Adam Smith's staff
if not Adam Smith himself. That's my
opinion, KM
Fellow patriots,
This was our experience at Adam
Smith's Town Hall meeting in Lakewood
on August 25th. Our story shows
how biased the last town hall meeting with
Adam Smith was. I (Carl), as well as my
wife (Crystal), and our Navy Vet friend Tom,
went to pass out cards for the Olympia tea
party to help get the word out. We were
wearing our Tea Party Patriot tee shirts.
There was strong Astroturf
presence organized and paid for by
"Organizing for America" and the DNC. During
the event I was kicked out several times by
Adam Smith's staff for passing out cards.
Crystal confronted the staffer by asking "the health reform people
are passing out their signs in masses, why
don't you kick them out?" and mentioned that
it was public property. There was no real
response from the staffer. Also a pro-life
person was kicked out with her sign... But during that time we met a
lot of patriots that shook our hands and
thanked us for being there. We thank all of
you who stood your ground. Your involvement
made the difference.
While passing out cards, we were
called f---'n tea baggers and many other
vulgarities by some of the HR 3200
supporters. We tried to explain that too
many people, HR 3200 raises serious issues
and that as Native Americans we had to live
through the government run Indian healthcare
system and we don't wish that experience on
our fellow Americans. It was telling that
those who disrespected our right to differ
were unwilling to engage in a civil
discussion; many only offered profanity as
they walked away. I was even spit on by a
woman wearing an Obama tea shirt. She "spit
and ran" walking away quickly after the
insult. Our friend Tom, a navy vet and
first timer for political events was shocked
at the rudeness! He was speechless...
On a good note, I met a
gentleman who said that he and his wife were
devout socialists who supported Obama's
healthcare reform but also wanted to shake
my hand. He was impressed that even through
all of what happened there that evening he
said we handled ourselves well, we were
polite, and we didn't heckle. Much unlike
what he seen on the news about us.... I told
him maybe he needs to change the channel…

Olympia Tea Party August 14, Noon at Rep.
Baird's offices, Olympia
We gathered in front of
our congressman's office in Olympia for one hour
(lunchtime) to let our Rep. Baird's staff
know what we think about the proposed health
care reform bill.
We had a good
turnout, 25 people + other walk ins.
Rep. Baird was not
there but we are keeping the pressure
up. Good job everyone!
July 17th-Protest
against Socialized Medicine at
Rep. Brian Baird'
office in Olympia
Very Successful - we had at
least 25 concerned citizens participate in
contacting their Representative to share their
concerns.
Last Town Hall Meeting in Lakewood with Rep.
Adam Smith a Big Success
The grandstands were full. Probably 200 people in
the auditorium. People
waited in line for over an hour to speak their
mind. At least 95% were against the
proposed health care "reform". Only a few
spoke up in favor of the Chicago style "reform"
of our healthcare system.
Just got
back from the Tacoma Adam Smith
Health Care Town Hall meeting in
Lakewood. There were about 200
people there, with the VAST
majority being against the
so-called 'reforms". People
asked GREAT questions, and had
to stand in line for 1 to 11/2
hours to ask their questions.
The meeting went over time by
one hour. I was very impressed
by how well prepared, well
spoken, and passionate our side
was! There were about 10 people
there in purple SEIU shirts, but
they did not stand in line to
ask questions and left before
the meeting was actually over. It was awesome!

July 17th (Fri.) 9:00 AM at Rep. Brian Baird's
Olympia office to
protest Socialized Medicine. Zero counter-protestors and we got the
Representative's attention.
Thank You for a great turnout, we had nearly 30 people who in small groups went
into Rep. Baird's office to share their concerns about unsustainable
health care proposals. Excellent testimonies by all. You
were part of a nationwide event. WA State Tea Party activists
did VERY well in getting people out to every one of our
Representatives local offices. Great job people! You
made this happen. We had our own
"town hall meeting" right there on the sidewalk and in Rep.
Baird's office.
July 4th - at the Capitol
On July 4th we marched again on the State
Capitol & joined the rally on the Capitol Steps at 11 AM. We had a great group of Olympia Tea Party marchers numbering about 115.
The turnout was expected to be modest due to the summer holiday season.
The rally at the capitol steps total number is estimated from between 800 to
1,500 depending on who did the estimating. Zero counter protesters this time.
